Ways and Means

Donna McPartland, Chair / 901-314-0149

At this busy time of year instead of making or baking an item to be sold, you can save time and effort by participating in our simplest fundraiser. All you need to do is write a check or checks to one or more of our charities listed below, or to your own chosen charity and send it to Ways and Means, New Neighbors, 9245 Poplar Avenue, Ste. 5, Box 210, Germantown, TN 38138, by Monday, December 11th. All checks received will be sent to the charities so they can be deposited by December 31st and you can use your donation for an income tax deduction on your 2017 income taxes. Donations may also be made to New Neighbors, but they are not tax deductible.

Our charities for 2017-18 include:

Exceptional Foundation of West Tennessee–enriches the lives of the intellectually challenged by meeting their social, recreational, and continued educational needs at their facility in Memphis.

Hope House–improves the quality of life of HIV-affected individuals and their families by providing high quality early childhood education and social services at their Memphis location.

Tunica Humane Society–aggressively pursues a high quality, low cost spay-neuter program at their NO-KILL facility which rescues animals from the local area, including Shelby County.

Women’s Foundation for Greater Memphis—helps women and their children who live in poverty break the cycle of poverty through leadership and collaboration.

THANK YOU to each of you who purchased a Memphis City Saver discount book and to those who helped us sell them. In our next newsletter we will report the proceeds from this fundraising project.
